RMLA Submission on the HNZPT Statements of General Policy

The RMLA welcomes the consolidation of the Statements of General Policy into five key statements, and the reduction of 75 objectives to three high-level objectives, and a decrease in policies from 463 to 189.

A more concise set of policies and objectives enables stakeholders to understand heritage protection requirements more easily, reduces the risk of confusion and inconsistencies in their application, and enables faster and more efficient processes.

In our submission, we will focus on matters we consider requiring comment, rather than providing feedback on each objective and policy.
