2024 Scholarships open with new Mātauranga Māori category

RMLA invite postgraduate students to apply for a scholarship for the 2024/2025 period. If you have a background in law, planning, engineering, geography, science, landscape architecture, urban planning in the area of resource management then you could be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship award.

We are also extremely pleased to announce that a new scholarship category is available for Māori tertiary students. This has come off the back of our recently established Pou Kaitiaki Committee consisting of RMLA members from around the motu. Leading that Committee is Tania Ruru-Dons (Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki, Ngati Porou).

This new scholarship category has been established to recognise and encourage the advancement of research that has the potential to shape the future of Aotearoa by contributing to mātauranga Māori in the environmental space. It is available to Māori students studying at a tertiary institute (New Zealand or overseas) and registered for a Master’s degree.

Applications close 15 August 2024. Find out more about eligibility, value and tenure, application and selection process in our Scholarships page.
