Submission period extended

The Climate Change Commission has extended the consultation period on its draft advice.

Consultation opened on February 1, with submissions initially due by March 14. This deadline has been extended for two weeks and now closes on March 28 this year.

Chair, Dr Rod Carr, says the Commission board had heard from stakeholders that they needed more time to consider our data and develop informed submissions

We do need to balance time needed by stakeholders to consider our data as part of their submissions, with the work evaluating submissions and determining their impact on our draft advice. Two weeks provides this,” he says.

Anyone who would like to amend their submission in light of this change in deadline is welcome to contact hello@climatecommission.govt.nz

Otherwise, head to the consultation pagehaveyoursay.climatecommission.govt.nz
