District Plan to manage land use and subdivision in Far North

The Far North District Council is creating a new District Plan to manage land use and subdivision in the District.The Council has now developed a policy framework that addresses Significant Resource Management Issues the community helped to identify.The identified issues include:

  • Rural Sustainability
  • Affordable Infrastructure
  • Heritage Management
  • Coastal Management
  • Urban Sustainability
  • Indigenous Biodiversity
  • Tangata Whenua Partnerships
  • Climate Change, Natural Hazards and Resilience
  • Landscapes and Features.

Feedback on the policy closes 17 December 2018.
