CRL’s marine discharge application complete

Coastal Resources Limited (CRL) lodged an application with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a marine dumping consent on 5 June 2018.

The application is to dump 250,000m3 of dredged sediment annually offshore at a proposed dumping site, 25 km east of Great Barrier Island, for 35 years.

This site is CRL’s consented Northern Disposal Area. On 3 July 2018, the EPA determined that CRL’s application was complete.

EPA has until 30 July 2018 to publicly notify CRL’s application. Once notified, the public will have 30 working days to make a submission on the application.
