Submissions open on OMV's marine discharge consent application

On Friday 25 May 2018, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) publicly notified the application lodged by OMV New Zealand Limited (OMV) for marine discharge consent.

The application is for a marine discharge consent to discharge trace amounts of harmful substances, contained in offshore processing drainage, from hazardous and non-hazardous deck drains from one or more Mobile Offshore Drilling Units, offshore Taranaki.

The public submission period will run for 30 working days from the date of public notification on Friday 25 May 2018. Submissions on the application must be received by EPA and OMV no later than 5pm on Monday 9 July 2018.
