Ellis Gould - Solicitor (Environmental Law), Auckland
Ellis Gould is looking for a lawyer to join their Environment and Planning team in Auckland.
Their tight-knit team has a reputation for excellence in the field of environmental and planning law. They work with large corporates, private individuals, government departments, and environmental groups on legislative changes, strategic and local planning processes, and consenting matters nationwide. They take a collaborative approach to their work, which means staff are generally involved in a range of interesting tasks working with other solicitors as well as directly with the two partners.
They are looking for someone with 0-3 years experience, who enjoys working as part of a team and has a real interest in environmental and planning law. RMA experience is preferred but not necessary for the right person.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
Assisting senior lawyers with various legal proceedings, including council and court hearings, negotiations, and mediations.
Conducting legal research and analysis.
Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including legal submissions and agreements.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations.
If this sounds like you, please send your CV and academic transcript to their office manager Georgina Yarrell-Stevenson (gstevenson@ellisgould.co.nz), in the first instance, and they will be in touch.
