Te Waikoropupū Springs WCO recommendation

The Special Tribunal considering the Water Conservation Order application for Te Waikoropupū Springs and associated water bodies has issued its recommendation report to the Minister for the Environment for his consideration.

This application sought the protection of Te Waikoropupū Springs on the basis of cultural, scientific, ecological, and recreational values. A Water Conservation Order is made by an Order in Council issued by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister.
