International climate commitment report released

New Zealand’s fourth biennial report on New Zealand’s progress towards our international climate commitments has been released.Projections of New Zealand’s net emissions in 2030 are shown by the report to be nearly 10 per cent lower than previous projections in the Third Biennial Report.Minister for Climate Change, James Shaw says the decrease in projected emissions can be attributed to the One Billion Trees policy, more sustainable farm management practices, and reduced energy use combined with less carbon-intensive fuels.Read the report or snapshot
