Stricter compliance associated with non-compliant transmissions of interest

Te Uru Rākau is to take a stricter compliance approach towards non-compliant transmissions of interest (transfers) of post-1989 forest registered in the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) that occur from 1 February 2019.This stricter compliance approach may include penalties or prosecution.Post-1989 forestry participants are required to notify Te Uru Rākau if they have bought, sold or transferred post-1989 forest land registered in the ETS.Within 20 working days, both the new and existing participants must complete the transfer of participation form, and the existing participant must also complete a transmission emissions return.Click here for the required forms
