yRMLA Auckland event – The 36th America’s Cup
Young RMLA invites you to a panel discussion on the America’s Cup resource consent application and decision.
Come along and hear from some of the key players in the resource consent application process, including an Environment Court Judge, Derek Nolan QC and Bill Loutit (Legal Counsel for Panuku), and Karl Cook (Planner for Panuku).
The consenting process for the America’s Cup bases was particularly unique compared with other large infrastructure projects. The proposal was fast tracked under direct referral to the Environment Court. The hearing (which was originally set down for two weeks) lasted only one and a half days, and the Court issued its decision incredibly fast – only two weeks after hearing!
This is an amazing opportunity for you to gain first-hand knowledge on how this speedy process worked, while hearing the highly esteemed panel offer their personal tips and learnings.
Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
