POSTPONED! RMLA Bay of Plenty : Urban Growing Pains in the Tauranga context and Annual General Meeting
Please note this event is being postponed until further notice!
RMLA Bay of Plenty invites you to an evening of discussion regarding the challenges and opportunities faced by Tauranga as a rapidly growing city, featuring two speakers who will offer interesting perspectives on the policy framework for urban development and the Tauranga context. We will hear from Doug Fairgray, an experienced economist who sits on RMLA’s National Committee. Doug will speak to us about his views on the National Policy Statement for Urban Development 2020, and its potentially significant long term consequences for urban development. Heidi Hughes, the leader of the Greater Tauranga Organisation will then speak to us regarding Greater Tauranga’s recent submission on the Tauranga Long Term Plan and their perspective on making Tauranga a sustainable city. A Q&A session will follow the speakers’ presentations.
We will also be holding our RMLA Bay of Plenty Annual General Meeting at the commencement of this event.
