Kapiti Coast District Council : Principal Advisor Regulatory Services
Full-time – fixed-term (three years)
We are looking for an exceptional person to fill a senior role to support our Group Manager Regulatory Services.
Our Council has identified these key drivers for change in the management and delivery of regulatory services including:
- continuous improvement, alongside a ‘system stewardship’ approach
- identifying and nurturing key internal and external relationships
- identifying and prioritising key customers and putting them at the centre of our focus
- building and maintaining our capability to effectively respond to changes in the legislative environment.
Our Principal Advisor will play a key role in building on our progress in these areas. The ideal candidate would have experience working within local or central government and has strong proven experience in a policy or regulatory environment. The role requires someone who is sharp-minded, demonstrates clear thinking, has excellent influencing, communication and relationship management skills. You’ll need to be adept at problem-solving, delivering on projects and managing risks.
